1. Terms & Conditions of Tuition
These terms apply to all singing lessons delivered in person or online.
Lessons are scheduled by agreement and payment is required in advance unless otherwise arranged. Students are expected to attend punctually and participate respectfully.
Lesson recordings or distribution of teaching materials may not occur without prior consent.
Either party may terminate lessons with a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice. Any outstanding fees remain payable.
In circumstances beyond reasonable control (including illness, emergencies, or unforeseen disruption), lesson arrangements may be adjusted or rescheduled.
2. Health & Illness
Students and the teacher are expected to cancel lessons when experiencing contagious illness to protect health and safety.
Where appropriate, online lessons or rescheduling may be offered. Ongoing illness circumstances will be managed with fairness and discretion.
3. Studio Conduct
Students are expected to attend lessons punctually, treat equipment with care, and maintain respectful behaviour at all times.
Mobile devices should only be used for lesson purposes unless otherwise agreed.
A professional and supportive learning environment is maintained at all times.
4. Safeguarding Statement
The safety and wellbeing of all students is a priority.
Lessons are conducted in a professional environment with appropriate boundaries and conduct. Safeguarding principles are followed when working with minors or vulnerable individuals, including maintaining professional communication, appropriate supervision, and reporting concerns where necessary.
A valid DBS certificate and safeguarding awareness inform teaching practice.
5. Media & Promotional Consent
Photographs, audio recordings, or video recordings of students will only be used for promotional, educational, or social media purposes with prior written consent from the student or parent/guardian.
Consent may be withdrawn at any time. Respect for privacy and student wellbeing is prioritised.
6. Complaints Procedure
Students or parents/guardians are encouraged to raise any concerns promptly via written communication.
Complaints will be acknowledged within a reasonable timeframe and handled fairly, with the aim of reaching a constructive resolution.
Professional conduct and open communication will be maintained throughout.
